When we moved into a new place few months ago, I had the opportunity to decorate the place the way I wanted.

I went to a local store and found this vase which has very rich colors, including my favorite color - dark red.

I love flowers, but fresh flowers don't last long, and I am not that fond of plastic flowers. So I got something that are made of natural material such as wood and grass. I bought two different bundles of those flowers, mixed them the way I like.

I used the left over from the flowers to create some art works that go with the flowers. I focused on the colors and the flowers that are more appealing to me.

When I placed the sofa there, it seemed a bit too bare/plain to me. It didn't carry out the theme.

So, I added some cushions which helped continue the colors I first started.

When I first got the flowers, I was planning to buy some wall pictures to go with it. But after days of searching the internet, local stores, I couldn't find any that I liked. So I designed to create something on my own.

I found the canvas' price reasonable. And it's very easy to work with. So I got 2 pieces of canvas (16" x 20") which should cover the wall nicely.

Since I wanted to carry the theme, I used the left over from the flowers, some white and red construction paper (thicker is better), glue gun or liquid glue / double sided clear tap, scissors, and some ribbons.

I wanted to do something easy and simple. In order to create a design like this, I first cut out the red petals and black stripes.

For the petal, I cut out a 2" x 3" red paper.

I like to use glue gun to secure the position of the arrangement. It's easy to use, fast to dry. Put the glue where all the grass met.
